  Proximity to attractions. Easy walking distance. Staff helpful with directions.

  Noise from door slamming was a problem. Also had problems with ice machine. Noisy guests from bridal party kept us awake one night.

  The wi-fi in the room didn't work. I complained to the front desk about it 3 times and got a promise that it would be looked into. It wasn't fixed.

  Aveda products, & super comfortable (if small) bed. Great view of the Public Gardens across the street.

  The 'Classic Queen Guest Room' that I booked actually contained one double bed. However we found it cozy and so did not complain or comment to staff. The room was otherwise excellent.

  I like the ambience of the lobby, entrance and dining room/bar.

  The room is very small for such a stately hotel. The tv reception was poor,especially in the bar - after all this was Stanley cup season.

  We stayed there because it was the only hotel with any rooms left for new years eve in the south end of Hfx.

  The room was a dissappointment for $189, but the bed mattress was top notch.

  The king size bed was very comfotable, the room was a good size and we enjoyed the separate kitchenette stocked with "real dishes and wine glasses"

  checkout was very busy and the lobby was crowded.

  This hotel is very convenient for seeing Halifax on foot. It was lovely.

  Very tolerant of the crowd. Polite and helpful staff. A charming hotel and well restored yet had modern convienience.

  Not a complaint, but suggestion. The hospitality suite could have been all located on one floor and only guest attending the event should be located in areas of hospitality suits. Perhaps when booking , one should indicate if they are with a conference group/event.

  Liked the old manor style but found my room way too small.Also no view at all from where I stayed, it was noisy on the street during the night. I like the overall atmosphere and decor. It's a beautiful place but standard rooms are deceiving.

  The room was small but very nice. The view of the Public Gardens was amazing. The staff are friendly and efficient.

  The only thing I did not like was my breakfast as it was a little under cooked. But there are plenty of other places to dine.

  Close to where I wanted to be in the city.

  Lot's of noisy guests woke me up at night but I guess they were just drunk or something after a white trash wedding of some sort. Not much you can do I guess, except warn guests when you sell a block of rooms around then to a white trash wedding party.
